Self-Portraits

Fragmentation & Identity

This series, created largely throughout 2025, is not an attempt to document what I look like. It is an attempt to describe what it feels like to inhabit a self that is never entirely stable.

Through multiplication, distortion, inversion, and disappearance, the body becomes a site of tension. A face divides, a figure turns upside down, or identity dissolves into fragments. These images move between control and vulnerability, between the self presented to the world and what remains unseen.

Although the work is surreal, its emotional source is immediate: the confusion, contradiction, and private intensity of being human.
