Jelena Kintero is a doctor and conceptual photographer working with self-portraiture and alternative photographic processes. Her practice examines fragmentation, vulnerability, memory, and the shifting relationship between public appearance and private experience.
Using digital photography, cyanotype, water–oil printing, and layered transparencies, she combines carefully constructed images with materials that introduce unpredictability. Her work moves between control and chance, allowing the photographic surface itself to reflect the instability of identity.
Alongside her artistic practice, Jelena develops accessible, hands-on masterclasses that explore alternative and creative ways of working with photographs, encouraging participants to transform familiar images into new visual narratives and develop a deeper emotional connection with the creative process.
